Book Update (April 6, 2010)

I am very excited to say that my book will be released in about 3 weeks. It will be around April 26th. I have a book signing lined up at a bookstore here in Red Bluff around the release date. You can also buy a copy of the book through this blog when it comes out. The picture above is the cover to the book! What do you think?

  1. The cover makes you wonder what it all means. The prison, the cross, the tats, all have a message to tell. Hopefully those who look will listen to the story that is being told. Thank you for taking the time to tell yours.

  2. I just finished reading Mike's book, and I wanted to be the first to comment. (It helps to have connections! I own the Holy Family Christian Bookstore and got a trial print to preview)
I read a LOT of books, and I would classify this one as a "can't put it down until I finish it" variety. I read it in three sittings and really enjoyed it. Personal testimony are one of my favorites and you can actually hear Mike tell his story as you listen page after page. I feel as if I walked with him in his youth, his pain, his disappointment, and in his victory. I even shed a tear of joy as I read.
    God bless you Mike.

  4. I couldn't put the book down. Even though I am on the other side of the story, living and dealing with an addict, it helps me see things through the addicts eyes. When they are so far into their addiction they don't care who they hurt which makes a lot of sense. The drug is their love and no one else. Thanks Mike for writing this book. It let me see that maybe I shouldn't give up on my dad just yet even though there is alot of hate in my heart right now. I am very proud of you Spike!!

  5. Great book Mike. You are such an insperation to others who may be dealing with addiction. It is important for our youth to realize that addiction can start with something as simple as marjuana and eventually lead you down a road of hell unless you have the courage to ask God to forgive you and are willing to accept change.
